Why Variety is Indeed the Spice of Life
There comes a time in society when something so great happens, words must be written to immortalize it. There comes a time when we must step away from the routine of life and enjoy this wondrous event. There comes a time when men are just men and women are just women and both deserve to partake of sweet sweet ambrosia. Too long have we been plagued by the humdrum and monotony life offers at times. Now, today in fact, I urge all of you to break the boring cycle and strike out on an adventure of sorts. An adventure that will not only change your life, but also serve to give you a new understanding of what this world has to offer. Never has something made me feel so alive, so free, so full of hope.
Ladies and gentlemen, if you haven’t already, I strongly suggest delving into a Cheesecake Sampler Platter. It will change your life.
What is this? You don’t want JUST plain cheesecake? No problem! There is a tempting slice of chocolate mocha next door. Oooh, you dislike mocha? No worries! Just a slight move in the other direction lands you a slice of vanilla chocolate swirl. Do your guests have a penchant for strawberry cheesecake? Or perhaps they want a slice of caramel fudge? Whatever it is, the sampler platter has you covered.
I almost cannot put into words how fantastic something like this is. A few nights ago, I was just like you. I was living in ignorance of the greatest dessert that ever lived. There I was in the store, completing the mission of getting Tylenol for the H’s headache and suddenly I felt a pull in the direction of the refrigerated desserts. Had the planets fallen into alignment? Was this perhaps God’s way of rewarding me for living a life of Awesomeness? Was it Mother Nature herself calling out to me? Why me? What about me was so special that I deserved the chance to experience an explosion of taste rich in flavor and deliciousness like no other? I have no answers, but I feel the need (the need for speed… ha!) to share my good fortune with the rest of the world. I am no longer a mere consumer of one-flavored desserts, I can no longer make a purchase like that in good faith knowing something greater awaits me a few aisles over. After my near taste bud melting experience, I am a prophet spreading the gospel of Cheesecake Sampler Platters everywhere.
I know this blog is not much and my audience small, but I must use this platform to reach out to you, my readers. I must share my experience and hope that you will trust me enough to enjoy all that I have yourselves.
I’ve sampled peanutbutter fudge cheesecake, white chocolate chip cheesecake, dark chocolate vanilla chunk cheesecake… all from the same package. The richness, the smoothness, the texture… it’s mind blowing.
Try one. Today.

My hubby thinks cheesecake sampler platters are the best invention since sliced bread. Me? I like a tin of small cheesecakes from David’s Cookies…you can freeze ‘em up…and OMG, frozen cheesecake is AMAZING…
I first had something like this from Costco and thought it was an awesome idea, especially when we have people over. Many platters have smaller portions too, so people on a fat-restricted diet might be able to partake.
Advil cold and sinus. This is the stuff that works for ANY and ALL headaches
Seriously, try some. Take two, lie down for an hour, and you’ll feel like a million bucks.
Also, thank you for the advice but this is mostly aimed at women.
If you came around with the BBQ pig meat and beer sampler, you’d get the same results from me.
mmmmm, BBQ pig meat.
LOL! Okay, I didn’t expect the cheesecake part but okay! I never really had a cheesecake platter or whatever, but I guess I’ll have to try it and hit the gym for hours and hours lol

Lisa- I’ve never heard of David’s Cookies, sounds like it’s worth looking into. Your husband has the right idea, my husband LOVES the cheesecake platter as well! And frozen cheesecake is sinful!
endodontics.ca- Agreed. This is my new favorite dessert!
Mike- WHAT? This is not aimed mostly at women. Since when are the women the only ones who like cheesecake? My husband LOVES the variety platter and he’s not “soft” at all.
And beer is not just a “man” thing either. I can out-drink several people I know. Pfft!
Jay- First, thanks for stopping by. As you can see I enjoy being overly dramatic over small things. That kinda makes things a bit more fun!
I encourage picking up a sampler platter. Mmmm. Your taste buds will thank you. Really, they will.
This hook in my mouth smarts! Fantastic lead-in J.
I’m all about the smaple platter. I don’t stop at cheesecake either. One of my favorites is the appetizer one that features mozzarella sticks, jalepeno poppers, hotwings, and potato skins. That’s just an all-time classic.
If you want a real taste sensation you can’t go past wedges of cheese on a cocktail stick with licorice allsorts. Pure heaven!
I bow down to the prophet… I am your first cheesecake convert… yum.
.45- Oooo, I LOVE the sampler platter! And why do the servers always look at you weird when you want it as a meal? WTF is that about? Don’t they know some of us spit in the face of traditionalism? Curse restaurant society and their shackles.
Carl- OK, I LOVE CHEESE, especially Gouda. Mmmmm. Is licorice allsorts what I think it is? Like the candy licorice? with cheese? I like both of these things, but together? I’m not so sure.
Dawn- You will not be disappointed. This is more proof Humans are capable of greatness. Yummy yummy greatness.
mmmmmmmmm. cheesecake.
ps! my blog works again. I am back.
xxoo
I’m in where’s the platter….:))))
I made Jack Daniels burgers..first time since last summer…whoo Hoo..
lol what a lead in! I can only imagine how good that cheesecake platter would taste - I think every restaurant should have a cheesecake platter as an option for dessert!
Hon! I love me some NY Cheesecake! I Need a platter right now and I think when I am done commenting I am going to Kroger to get me one!!
Luv Ya Sis!

I have never heard of a Cheesecake Sampler Platter! We are so behind in this grey miserable place. When I visit I shall have to indulge in one of these thingies
We used to have samplers at our bake sales. This girl would come in and pretend she had baked them all, as if I were stupid enough to believe that nonsense.
Needless to say, we ate more of the sampler than we sold. But it was so very worth it.
Meleah Rebeccah- Awesome! Good to see you back!
Robert- Jack Daniels burgers??? OMG… those sound delish! I love a good burger.
Fragileheart- I agree with you, but I dunno… I’ve heard too much of a good thing can be quite dangerous.
Single in the City- Oooo, I hope you get chocolate/vanilla swirl with white chocolate chips on top. Mmmmm…
Calire- Oh yes! These are so good and yet so bad. Just remember, I cannot be responsible for what happens should the deliciousness prove to be too much for you.
Monique- LOL… why do people do that? If you didn’t make it, just say so. As long as it taste good… does it really matter if it was purchased or not??
I have never met a bake sale I didn’t like, or a unicyclist for that matter.
Cheesecake? What? Ruin my skinny as a stick figure? You must be joking!
Actually, that would be more the girls thing.I never have liked the taste of cheesecake LOL
Me, I’ll stick to baseball and opening day, thanks
Great..it is midnight and I want freakin’ cheesecake. Wonder if there is an all night cheesecake vendor somewhere….
Since I’ve never been able to make a decision, I’m a big fan of the sampler platter. And honestly, I’ve never met a cheesecake I didn’t like, so needless to say, I love the cheesecake sampler. Enjoy!
I look forward to trying it out. Hmmm… should be really yummy…
p.s. I could take down one or two of those burgers from Robert too, sounds tempting.
Strawberry Cheesecake. It’s the only way to go.
I’m not much of a cake eater. But there is this cheesecake that is made in the US Embassy Kuala Lumpur’s cafeteria where a buddy of mine works and it absolutely something to die for!
Frank- YOU DON’T LIKE THE TASTE OF CHEESECAKE??!
Just when you think you know someone!
Christine- If there was an all-night cheesecake vendor, I’d invest in moo-moos and call it a day.
Christine- I think you might be my kind of person.
Arv- I know, I LOVE a good burger! And they were grilling steaks downstairs earlier tonight. I was practically choking on drool. It turns out I might not be above robbing someone for a steak.
TOPolk- I heartily agree, but there is also the chocolate mocha fudge to think about as well.
Nick- Mmmm, international cheesecake? I’m intrigued….
Jillian, I always enjoy reading your writing…I was like okay what is this thing we need to try and then I found out. Just so happens I love cheesecake and since you gave it such a great intro, well then doggoneit, i’m going to have to try it.
If I gain a ton of poundage I shall blame you!
To quote a British Comedian
Cheese…..Cake….?
Yes, the person who invented this should be awarded the Nobel Prize.
Unfortunately for my waist, I work maybe 10 minutes from a Cheesecake Factory…
I’m freaking starving now - which isn’t uncommon - I hope you’re happy!
This would be my dream meal: Appetizer sampler. Dinner sampler. Cheesecake sampler. In fact, every meal should be made of tasty samplers! It’s amazing what a heavenly dessert will do for one’s soul, isn’t it?
No.
I like the chocolate & strawberry. But the cheesecake samplers that we have here always have nuts. I’m allergic to nuts. So I have to waste those turtle cheesecake slices.
I’ll stick to Key Lime.
Natural- LOL… I am jealous then because we finished ours just yesterday. I am refraining from another purchase because they are so rich and just bad for you…
Claire- Hahahaha. Well that’s better than the other stuff I get blamed for.
Mrs. R- 10 MINUTES FROM THE CHEESECAKE FACTORY??!! *drool* Lucky…
Mimzie- LOL @ “which isn’t uncommon”. I am starving, too… but now I want burgers..
Keli- Oh I agree. The sampler is the best thing ever! Why should we be restricted to just one item? Samplers for ALL, I say!
Angelika- Ohh… you know the one we had DID have nuts on it, but there were a few that didn’t. I just didn’t get one of those because they lacked the caramel fudge swirl. That’s key, you know..
Oh WOW!! I feel like the heavens have parted and the Holy Grail of Desserts I have been seeking is within reach! I never knew about this, and I cannot wait to run my fat-ass over to the dessert section of my local store to purchase this precious decadent delight!!! And it’s good timing too because I’m having MAJOR PMS cravings……you saved me!!!!
lol as far as I’m concerned - there’s no such thing as too much of a good thing. Take **x for example ;P
answer your damn phone
Random- What the…? Never heard of the Cheesecake Sampler Platter?
I think I just pissed myself :-O
Fragileheart- LOL. Well, maybe I should have qualified my statement. But I agree, (if it’s good) there should be no such thing as too much sex (LOL @ **x - we don’t do that censoring stuff here… :-P)!
Anon- Sorry, it was in the bedroom under the pillows. I did not hear it.
What kind of stalker are you???
Wow. American food is amazing. What is this cheesecake sampler platter? And more to the point, what is peanut butter fudge cheesecake? I’m missing out.
Twisted Teenager- OMG… you’ve never had a cheesecake sampler platter? LOL… I wish you lived closer, I would SO bring you one!
Oh my goodness - you are not seriously saying that you’ve gone through 1/4 of your life and NEVER TRIED a cheesecake sampler?! Where have you been, lady?! I think I tried my first one…oh…at least 30 years ago!
Now that you know what you’ve been missing - you can never go back! (So tell your fanny and thighs to be prepared!)
=P
